Ioanna Kardiakou – On the Move

Domus Art Gallery, hosted Ioanna Kardiakou’s solo painting exhibition “On the Move”, from December 18th, 2019 to January 31st, 2020.
The exhibition presented works from different eras, and themes ranging from landscape and shipping to scenes of contemporary urban landscapes. Through the use of a highly dynamic color-based technique, the artist transforms her ships and her racing formula cars into images of modern life, rendered with a sense of industrial romanticism. Her earlier studies in painting, architecture and design are transposed into a dynamic claim of space, time and subject matter.
